Christchurch Art Gallery

Very excited about 2 pieces of work we’re about to undertake with Jenny Harper and her team at Christchurch Art Gallery. We will be working with the gallery on supplementing their existing audience research in a rolling programme over the next (hopefully!) few years as well as spending some time with the whole team on some strategic planning work. I can’t say too much more at the moment but suffice to say that it will not only be hugely rewarding but a lot of fun too. Christchurch Art Gallery is already punching way above its weight and we hope to be able to lift them still further. As is always the way, it is the most forward thinking organisations that can see the benefit of strategic change while those that really need it are often last to tackle any issues.
Also can’t wait to see the Ron Mueck exhibition... I hear it’s stunning! It will be interesting to see how the city is faring after the earthquake. I read there are still a few minor aftershocks 2 months after the initial quake... Terrifying. Great to see how the people of Christchurch have pulled together though when the rest of the country seems to think it yesterday’s news. Go Christchurch.

Well, my biggest project at the moment is getting this website up and running. It’s been a long time coming and my old website has been sitting there for absolutely ages with a ton of redundant content doing a very poor job at telling the world what, exactly, it is that I do all day. I’m also just making some enquiries about the viability of a trip to Australia and around New Zealand in the last couple of weeks of November. Morris Hargreaves McIntyre is about to kick start its Australasian operation.
